Køge Swimworld is a modern arena with a focus on health and safety as well as on providing an enjoyable leisure-time environment. Our employees are well-educated and service-minded.
We emphasize bathing safety and each year every employee takes part in a safety course. Easily accessible within the swimming arena are two rescucitation kits and a heart starter.
History Built in 1993, the swimming arena consists of four pools, a whirlpool, saunas, a fitness centre and solarium. We receive about 250.000 visitors a year, plus local young people who come for school swimming and swimming club training. The swimming arena offers good facilities for handicapped visitors.
Our filtration system is brand new (installed in the summer of 2009): it ensures that our water is always of the right quality.
The air temperature in the arena is 29° C. The air is changed at a rate of 25,000 m3 per hour and we aim to keep relative humidity at 58.
